First is the “Circuit” watch face bearing the aforementioned frozen blue color, with a design inspired by both electrical circuits and racing circuits. That being said, there are two completely new features that are arguably the definite highlights of this release. The watch also comes with an extensive range of fitness features. It has a brighter screen with better contrast and 30-percent increased battery life. It goes without saying that TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 – Porsche Edition comes with a wide range of improvements over previous models. This touch of blue is found on the black steel crown and pushers, on the word “Porsche” and the number “100” on the bezel, on various dial elements, as well as the stitching on the strap. To be specific, the watch highlights a specific shade of frozen blue used in the iconic electric Taycan. Interestingly, there is, a common thread running through all elements of the watch: the color blue.
The strap, meanwhile, is made using carbon-like black calf skin with a black rubber base. As for the hardware, the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 – Porsche Edition comes in a 45mm sandblasted black titanium case featuring a black ceramic polished bezel that has a dedicated scale going from zero to 400. On the software side, the watch comes with exclusive Wear OS features developed for Porsche owners that can relay information about the owner’s car to the watch face. This new rendition of TAG Heuer’s highly-successful Connected Watch concept is inspired by the design of the iconic all-electric Porsche Taycan. Today, for 2022, the partnership between TAG Heuer and Porsche resulted in yet another limited-edition timepiece: the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 – Porsche Edition.
More recently, in 2019, Porsche created its own Formula E team with TAG Heuer as title and timing partner in 2021, the two unveiled the TAG Heuer Carrera Porsche Chronograph. In the 1971 movie “Le Mans,” Steve McQueen wore a racing suit with the Heuer logo prominently displayed and drove a Porsche 917. In 1954, for example, Porsche named its most powerful engine at the time the Carrera following a class win in the Carrera Panamericana race. TAG Heuer and Porsche team up once again for a limited-edition Connected Watch inspired by the all-electric Porsche Taycanįor quite some time, the stories of Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer and German sportscar manufacturer Porsche have intersected at various junctures.
